Some of the newly added exhibits to the MHFM include:
- James Burton’s black Fender Telecaster and rhinestone stage suit he wore with Elvis’ TCB band.
- Charlie Daniels’ white 1968 Fender Telecaster which he played on Bob Dylan’s Nashville Skyline sessions along with many others.
- Gene Chrisman’s Rogers snare drum used on all American Sound Studio recordings in Memphis such as Elvis’ Suspicious Minds, Dusty Springfield’s Son of a Preacher Man, and B.J. Thomas’ Hooked on a Feelin’, to name a very few.
- Barry Beckett’s Wurlitzer electric piano which he used on many sessions at Muscle Shoals Sound studio.
Check out “The Memphis Boys”, one of six inaugural groups of studio musicians recently inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame.
